Justice Is A Black Woman: The Life And Work Of Constance Baker Motley.

Start/End Tuesday, October 15, 2013 06:00 PM EDT -- 09:00 PM EDT
Location Name JG 106

On October 15th at 6pm in JG106, come join ACLU, EWOC, BLSA, CLWA, and ACS for a screening of Justice Is A Black Woman:  The Life And Work Of Constance Baker Motley, and a Q&A with producer and CLS alum Gary Ford. The documentary centers on Motley, an “invisible” activist, change agent, and leader who made  significant contributions to the success of the Civil Rights Movement and to the history of America.  It situates Motley in the context of the Movement and examines her life and career in the context of women’s agency and leadership as the only woman lawyer at the NAACP Legal Defense And Educational Fund and the only woman who argued desegregation cases in court during most of the Movement from 1946 through 1964.
