DESCRIPTION:Students interested in applying for either of these post-grad public interest fellowships are encouraged to attend this info session presented by SJI and Law School faculty. For the full Fellowship notices and application instructions, please visit our Post-Graduate Fellowships page.The David W. Leebron Human Rights Fellowship will enable a Columbia Law School graduate (J.D. or LL.M.) to spend one year working in human rights either in the United States or abroad, in pursuit of a career in human rights law, whether in academic life; in governmental, intergovernmental or nongovernmental organizations or agencies; or as legal practitioners specializing in human rights work. Students interested in applying for the Fellowship must submit their application materials to Social Justice Initiatives by 3pm on Friday, February 1.The Greater China Public Interest Fellowship will be awarded to one member of the Columbia Law School J.D. or LL.M. program, either from the current or a recent graduating class, to spend one year working with a public interest organization in China. Students interested in applying for the Fellowship must submit their application materials to Social Justice Initiatives by 3pm on Thursday, January 31. Lunch will be served. Hosted by SJI.
